We are searching for a dynamic tour guide to join Rock NYC Tours.
Rock NYC Tours - Tour Guide Job Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming customers to the tour.
- Informing customers about the itinerary for each tour.
- Scheduling visits and purchasing tickets to observation decks, museums, galleries, and other attractions ahead of time, if required.
- Gathering and maintaining the requisite equipment for each tour.
- Describe points of interest around New York City to the group and answer any questions they may have regarding the landmark or attraction.
- Adherence to prescribed safety codes.
Rock NYC Tours - Tour Guide Requirements and Qualifications
- Have a working knowledge of NYC top attractions, landmarks, transit, neighborhoods and other points of interest
- Strong professional work ethic
- Great public speaking skills
- Excellent storyteller with a knack for customer service
- Outgoing personality
- Punctual
- Outstanding organizational, time management and improvisational skills
- Maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor at all times
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Previous experience working as a tour guide preferred, but not required
- Second language an asset
